Global City for the Arts in the arena of Chinese Performing
Arts.
A group
of theatre enthusiasts from Chong Cheng High School
started the theatre in 1955 staging mainly plays
targeting for the youth and adults. 1995 was a
turning point when we started Children Theatre.
To further promote Chinese Performing Arts, we
continue to hire professionals from China to conduct
"Theatre Factory" courses for Singapore Primary,
Secondary Schools and Junior Colleges, as well as
members of Raindrops Children Arts Troupe.
The speech and drama courses are well received by
Singapore schools, such as, Bedok Green Primary,
East View Primary, Radin Mas Primary, River Valley
Primary, Dunman Secondary, Dunman High School, St.
Nicolas Girls' School, Anderson JC, Victoria JC,
etc. A number of schools have clinched awards in the
yearly National Short-Play Competition which has
been running since 1998.
We invite interested children and adults to join us
in the production of increasing number of Mandarin
Dramas to encourage the growth of Chinese Culture
and amaze the young generation with wonders of
