renowned professor, Cadi Scientific was incorporated
in Singapore to harness latest technology to develop
wireless sensing and tracking devices for
healthcare.
This resulted in the SmartSense system- an RFID
wireless platform designed to enhance patient care,
reduce nurses’ workload and improve operational
efficiency. Useful applications include wireless
temperature and vital sign monitoring on digitized
clinical charts, patient tracking for optimizing
patient flow and real-time asset tracking to
optimize utilization of assets.
To date, CADI’s RFID solution has been deployed in
some of the country’s largest hospitals and several
other healthcare institutions in the region,
amounting to a total of 500,000 patients who have
used the system and that number continues to rise
daily.

ThermoSensor
ThermoSensor is a wireless sensor for the 24/7
automated and periodic measurement of a patient’s
temperature and location. It is attached to the
patient’s body with the use of medical adhesive
dressing.
SmartTag
SmartTag is a wireless sensor for 24/7 automated
monitoring of patient location. It can be attached
to the patient’s ID wrist tag.

Infant Tag
The Infant Tag can be associated with a STG-852 tag
for mother-infant matching and strapped onto the
infant using a hypoallergenic tamper alert strap.

together with the SMN-890/SMN-800 to provide close
proximity location detection.
SmartBridge
SmartBridge connects vital signs monitors to a
central database, transmitting vital signs data
measured from vital signs monitors wirelessly to the
hospital’s system.
